This temple is located in the heart of the city of Tirupati. The presiding deities here are Rama, Lakshmana and Sita, According to myth the temple was built to honor the visit of Sita, Rama and Lakshmana. Chola king built this temple during 10th century AD 1480. The Anjaneyaswami temple, which is strait opposite is a part of the sub shrine of this temple. Sri Ramanavami Ugadi is celebrated in this temple on a large scale. Each year the temple celebrates Brahmotsavam in the month of march-april to Lord Sri Rama.
